Campbell could join Holloway at Millwall

Millwall boss Ian Holloway is interested in taking DJ Campbell to The Den on loan from Blackburn Rovers.

The Shepherd’s Bush-born 32-year-old played under Holloway at Blackpool prior to joining QPR in 2011.

He signed for Blackburn after his Rangers contract expired during the summer but is yet to score this season.

His stay at QPR was unsuccessful and he spent much of the time training with the club’s Under-21 squad managed by Marc Bircham, who recently left Loftus Road to join former Rangers man Holloway as first-team coach.

Campbell’s career has also included spells at Yeading and Brentford.

Holloway expressed an interest in taking him on loan from QPR when he was in charge at Crystal Palace last season.
