Blues youngster sees red as Davies helps Fulham U21s to victory

Chelsea’s Lewis Baker was sent off at Craven Cottage, where Lasse Vigen Christensen’s 57th-minute goal gave Fulham a 1-0 victory in the Under-21 Premier League.

Christensen finished from close range after being set up by Simon Davies, who featured as part of his comeback from a long-term injury.

Davies was impressive in midfield, although he did pick up a knock prior to being substituted just after the hour mark.

Kerim Frei played 66 minutes before being replaced by fit-again former Chelsea youngster Mesca, while Fulham’s January signing Enong Enoh completed the whole match.

Fulham went close in the first half when Cauley Woodrow’s header was volleyed off the line by Adam Nditi.

Once in front they continued to have the upper hand, with Josh Passley and then Christensen firing against the Chelsea bar.

The Blues ended the match with 10 men after Baker was red-carded following a rash challenge on Chris David with three minutes remaining.

Fulham were then denied by the woodwork for the third time, when Enoh saw his effort hit the post.
