Birmingham ‘ready to sell keeper Foster for £4m’

Birmingham City are ready to sell Ben Foster for £4m, according to the Daily Mirror.

QPR have previously been linked with a £5m bid for the former England international, who is one of several goalkeepers boss Mark Hughes is considering as a possible replacement for Paddy Kenny.

Foster spent last season on loan at West Brom, who were hoping to buy him this summer, but Rangers are tipped to sign him.

Several papers report the news that John Terry, who has been nursing a hamstring strain, is likely to be fit for England’s Euro 2012 match against France, but his Chelsea team-mate Ashley Cole is struggling with a stomach bug.

Meanwhile, The Independent suggest Chelsea have not given up hope of building a new stadium on the Battersea Power Station site despite losing out on preferred bidder status to Malaysian developers.

And the Daily Mail say Fulham are interested in St Etienne’s Romanian defender Banel Nicolita.
