Vidal dismisses reports linking him with Chelsea

Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal has played down speculation linking him with a possible move to Chelsea.

The Chilean played under Antonio Conte at Juventus and the Blues boss has been tipped to try to take him to Stamford Bridge.

No approach was made during the January transfer window, which has nevertheless been followed by reports that Conte will look to sign him in the summer.

But Vidal told German newspaper Bild he and his family are happy in Munich.

“These are just rumours, After all, I played four very successful years under coach Conte at Juventus,” he has been quoted as saying.

“There is no reason for me to leave Bayern. I wear this jersey with pride. I feel happy, my wife feels happy, and the children are happy, and I still have big goals in Munich.”
