Joey Barton has told the BBC he expects QPR to go down this season and that their relegation would be another reason he is unlikely to return to the club.
Speaking to Football Focus, Barton said: “The likelihood is that unless there’s a massive turnaround in fortunes QPR will be in the Championship next year.
“What position that puts them in financially, I don’t know. For me to be part of the side that stayed up and not be part of the side that went down, it would be difficult for me to go back.”
Barton is currently on loan at Marseille and because of a number of problems following his move from Newcastle last year, QPR do not want him back
That is unlikely to change even with the arrival of Harry Redknapp as manager.

Mr. Barton, what could you possibly do to help QPR avoid to be a Championship team next year ? Was it 12 games your were locked out for ? Nice work Joey.
As a former QPR player and captain you should insted told BBC that you support TF, HR and the club. If you want back go back to QPR, you probably need to change your attitude completely. I think you’re having a behaviour that could fit just fine to the snob in France. Best of luck
