Charlie Austin has told Sky Sports News HQ he does not expect to leave QPR in January.

Austin, whose contract is due to expire at the end of the season, was tipped to move during the summer and there has since been speculation that he could be sold when the transfer window reopens.

But the striker, 26, said: “I can’t see myself leaving in January, because I’m concentrating on playing for QPR. I think I owe it them and my loyalty is with them, to help them and get promoted.

“Football is a small career and you have to make the right decisions, the right moves, and if it’s right for myself, and my family and the people I bounce the ideas off, then I will take on anything.”
