Aston Villa v Chelsea line-ups: Terry and Cahill out, Blues’ January signing starts, Villa man back

Chelsea have given a debut to January signing Matt Miazga as part of a reshuffled back four for the visit to Aston Villa.

There is no John Terry or Gary Cahill in the squad, so Miazga – brought in from New York Red Bulls – plays alongside Branislav Ivanovic at centre-back.

Baba Rahman starts at left-back, with Cesar Azpilicueta moved to right-back.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek also starts, with Chelsea showing four changes from the side that drew with West Ham.

Willian misses out after he only returned from international duty o Friday, with Oscar on the bench alongside Alexandre Pato.

Aston Villa bring captain Micah Richards back in to their starting line-up, with Colombian international Carlos Sanchez replacing Jordan Veretout in central midfield.
