All aboard The Good Ship – for music, comedy and more
The Good Ship, on the Kilburn High Road, is a live music venue, bar, nightclub and arts centre all rolled into one.
It sells a wide range of beers, wines and spirits, plays host to DJs, bands and stand-up comedians and boasts a free 100 CD jukebox.
Inside the 220-capacity music venue, you will find a mix of live acts, often straddling a variety of offbeat genres.
But it’s not just bands – the Good Ship is a place for all innovative art and entertainment, including spoken word and story-telling nights.
With a late licence until 4am on Fridays and Saturdays and 2am on all other days, the bar sells real ale even after 11pm, both on tap and in large bottles.
It includes a big screen that displays dynamic visuals, as well as showing Rangers matches.
The jukebox contains 100 CDs from all walks of musical life and is changed regularly to keep it fresh. There are no alcopops or fruit machines – just a grown-up, friendly atmosphere.
The Good Ship also offers private hire of its venue, usually completely free. It can handle 240 people, DJs, bands and screenings, while the balcony can be hired free at weekends for smaller parties.
Last entry is at 11.30pm during the week and 2am at weekends, although the bar stays open for a couple of hours after the doors close.
The Good Ship is based at 289 Kilburn High Road, London, NW6 7JR and is really close to Kilburn tube and Brondesbury BR stations.
