Abraham’s future to be decided after Euros

Tammy Abraham says a final decision on his future will not be made until after the European Under-21 Championship.

The Chelsea youngster has flown out with the England squad to the tournament in Poland, where Aidy Boothroyd’s side will open their Group A campaign against Sweden on Friday.

Abraham, 19, enjoyed a prolific season in the Championship while on loan at Bristol City and is now being lined up for a Premier League loan move.

Newcastle are close to an agreement to sign him for next season but Brighton are hoping to persuade him to join them instead.

“I’m focusing on this tournament so the discussions will happen after,” Abraham said.

“After this season I need to take myself to the next level. That’s the type of person I am – I always want to do better. I always want to do more.”
