Two tries for Schmid as Harlequins beat Exeter
Cons: Slade 4
Cons: Smith 3
Lucas Schmid scored two tries as Harlequins won 31-28 at Exeter to record successive Prem victories for the first time this season.
Captain Cadan Murley and Nick David went over in the opening 10 minutes to give Quins a 14-0 lead at Sandy Park.
Exeter recovered through tries from Harry Wilson and Nika Abuladze, either side of a yellow card for Quins centre Joe Bradley, to make it 14-14 at the break.
Will Butt put the Chiefs in front soon after the restart, but Schmid crashed over for his first Prem try and then went over again 12 minutes later to swing the game back Quins’ way.
Jack Kenningham’s try stretched the lead to 10 points before Olly Woodburn scored for Exeter with two minutes left, but Quins saw out the closing stages to claim the win and a try bonus point.
