Quins’ Swiel ruled out for the season

Harlequins fly-half  Tim Swiel is to undergo surgery on an ankle injury that means he will miss the rest of the season.

The 22-year-old sustained the injury in the closing minutes of last Sunday’s 42-10 defeat to Wasps, leaving Quins to finish the match with 14 men.[phone][/phone]

He will have the operation on Monday and will miss the last nine games of the campaign.

Swiel rejoined Quins last summer on a permanent deal, having been on loan from Super Rugby side Sharks last season.
