Lowe signs Quins contract extension

Harlequins have extended promising youngster George Lowe’s contract until 2014.

The 21-year-old centre, who has made the number 13 shirt his own since making his Premiership debut against Wasps two seasons ago, has been tipped as a future England player.

“We have said we want to keep our squad together and let it mature, and George’s signing is a further statement of that intent,” said Quins director or rugby Conor O’Shea.

“It is hard to believe George is just 21, as it already feels like he is a fixture. We are looking forward to watching George develop further over the coming years.”

Lowe is the second player in the space of 24 hours to agree a new deal at The Stoop, where Mike Brown has also extended his contract until 2014.

“Harlequins is a young and ambitious squad who are determined to win more silverware and I want to continue to be a part of it,” said Lowe.
