Zamora still being troubled by hip problem

QPR manager Harry Redknapp says Bobby Zamora’s hip condition remains a serious concern and may require further surgery this summer.

Zamora recently returned to first-team action but is still being troubled by the problem and appears to be a long way short of being able to complete a full match.

Redknapp said: “Bobby can’t play 90 minutes. It’s a problem. If I had Bobby Zamora it’d be a different team, no doubt about it.

“He’s had an operation on his hip and it seizes up. He may need another op at the end of the season.

“After 10 minutes he feels it just clamp up on him. Getting him through half a game, 40 minutes or 35 is a miracle at the moment – that’s as much as we can get out of him.”

Meanwhile, Rangers are assessing recent signing Loic Remy ahead of this weekend’s match at Swansea.

The striker missed Saturday’s 0-0 draw against Norwich after picking up a groin strain.
