Holloway could give debut to Eze in cup game

Teenager Eberechi Eze could make his QPR debut in Saturday’s FA Cup game against Blackburn.

Manager Ian Holloway has been impressed with the forward in recent Under-23 games and is set to include him in the squad for the third-round tie at Loftus Road.

Eze joined Rangers in the summer after leaving Millwall and, having been an unused substitute for the recent win at Wolves, he could well play some part against Rovers.

Other youngsters in contention to feature include Osman Kakay, Olamide Shodipo and Niko Hämäläinen, as well Ryan Manning, who has started the last two matches.

But Michael Doughty and Darnell Furlong, recently recalled from their loan spells at Swindon, are cup-tied having played in the tournament for the Robins earlier in the season.

A number of first-team players have been nursing injuries and are likely to be left out, while Tjaronn Chery and Sandro are finalising moves away from QPR.

Rangers have never won an FA Cup game under Holloway.
