What’s going on at QPR? Is there any kind of plan?
In the latest West London Sport podcast, David McIntyre talks to the club’s head of methodology Jon De Souza about his role, asking whether Rangers are moving forward and whether there’s a workable plan in place for the club.
The podcast is also available on Spotify and Apple.

‘Whats a typical day involve then John ?’
‘I guess the beauty about my role is that it changes from day to day & week to week’.
That’s NOT answering the question at all, it’s stating what you like about it which is totally different.
What’s extremely alarming for me at this point, is that he stated he’s got 13 teams to keep an eye on for player development etc…. which can’t be done by 1 person & be successful. Most of those teams have at least 11 players in them, so let’s say 10 teams have just 11 players, which is 110 players he is giving his full attention to so that they develop etc… What a load of rubbish!
Then we get:
‘Essentially, isn’t it the same role that Chris Ramsey was doing?’
‘I can’t comment on the role that Chris did.’
But you weren’t asked to comment on his role, you were asked if it was basically the same role.
I genuinely don’t know how Paul Adams can say it was a great interview, because this is just 3 minutes into it & he’s already not listening or answering what is asked. That’s never great Paul!
We all know that players develop at different levels & speeds, but given the amount of players he is left to look after, many of them aren’t getting the help they need because he isn’t spending long enough with them to know.
