Vine scores in Southend reserve game

Rowan Vine scored the only goal of the game in an appearance for Southend’s reserves against Oxford on Tuesday afternoon.

Vine, who has been out of the picture at QPR for some time, was given permission to play for the Essex club’s second string ahead of a possible move to Roots Hall.

Rangers manager Mark Hughes is hoping a number of other players who are not in his 25-man squad will go elsewhere before the end of the season.
