Swedish move an option for QPR defender
QPR are considering a loan move to Swedish club AIK for Liam Morrison.
Morrison, 23, has not featured for the R’s this season and ended last term on loan at Aberdeen.
His first-team chances currently look bleak, and he is keen to play regularly.
But with fellow centre-back Jake Clarke-Salter attracting interest from clubs, and having been injury-prone, Rangers could face tricky decisions ahead of Tuesday’s transfer deadline.
Clarke-Salter has played in all three opening Championship matches but is himself not sure of game time, even if available, as he has featured largely because Ronnie Edwards has been deployed in midfield while the likes of Nicolas Madsen and Glen Kamara are building up their fitness.
The Ayrshire-born Morrison arrived in west London during the summer of 2024 from Bayern Munich, who signed him from Celtic in 2021.
He has since made 33 appearances for QPR, with 31 of them coming in the league.
Meanwhile, Kieran Morgan is set to join Bradford City on loan.

If Morrison goes, and with Smith already out on loan, we’ll be woefully short at CB. They will have to bring someone in as cover surely?
