Stephan clear on what QPR hero Morgan’s position will be

Julien Stephan has no doubt that QPR youngster Kieran Morgan’s long-term position will be in midfield.
The 19-year-old was Rangers’ hero when he scored a dramatic winner in the final seconds against Birmingham.
He has impressed, mostly in his natural midfield role, since moving to Loftus Road last year after leaving Tottenham.
And although Morgan has been deployed at right-back by Stephan this season, the head coach sees the switch as temporary.
Stephan explained: “He’s a very good player. I use him more like a right-back now, but I know in the future he will probably be a very good number eight.
“I consider that now it’s good for him to develop to play as a right-back. When he plays in that position he gives us a lot in terms of technical quality because he has fantastic feet, good delivery and a top shot.”

Morgan has found first-team opportunities hard to come by this season.
He scored soon after coming on as a substitute against Birmingham, having not started a game since Rangers’ 7-1 hammering at Coventry earlier in the season.
“His attitude is fantastic. The mindset of Keiran is fantastic,” said Stephan.
“Kieran is fantastic in terms of mentality and we trust in him a lot for the future – for now, but for the future as well because he has all the abilities to have a great career.”
Jimmy Dunne gave Rangers a first-half lead but they appeared to have been denied victory when former Fulham man Patrick Roberts equalised for Birmingham in stoppage time.
But Morgan fired into the net from near the edge of the penalty area to make it three consecutive home wins for the R’s.
Stephan declared: “What character – what character! To find, immediately after a bad moment, the resources to attack and create another moment in the penalty area – all the credit to the players for doing that.”
