“Stanley!…Stanley!” Watch QPR fans cheer legend Bowles on to the pitch at Loftus Road

QPR have released footage of Stan Bowles being given a hero’s reception by fans ahead of the game against Rotherham at Loftus Road.

Bowles, who has Alzheimer’s disease, was the guest of honour on ‘Stan Bowles Day’, organised by the club as a tribute to the man widely regarded as its best-ever player.

  • A true living legend of the game whom should have had 100 caps from England. The game today is seriously missing such gifted players. He would be worth 50 Million if he was 23 years old if not more.
