Goss’ departure from QPR is confirmed

Sean Goss, QPR

Sean Goss’ move from QPR to Shrewsbury has been confirmed.

West London Sport revealed on Thursday morning that Goss was on the verge of leaving the R’s, with Shrewsbury in talks to sign him on a free transfer, and on Friday revealed that the deal was done. He has signed a two-year contract with the Shrews.

Goss, 23, has failed to impress after being signed from Manchester United in January 2017.

He did not make a senior appearance for United, started just three league games for QPR and has had loan spells in Scotland with Glasgow Rangers and St Johnstone.

Goss had a year remaining on his contract but new R’s boss Mark Warburton quickly decided that the player was surplus to requirements and could leave along with David Wheeler, who has since joined Wycombe.
