Redknapp still aiming for Rangers ‘dream’

QPR manager Harry Redknapp has told his players they must not accept relegation until their fate is confirmed.

Rangers will be in the Championship next season barring an astonishing run in their final five matches of the campaign.

But Redknapp believes they will retain a slim chance of staying up if they beat Stoke on Saturday and then win at Reading.

He said: “We’re still not down. We’ve still got games to go and while it’s still possible you’ve got to keep going.

“There are five games left and if we win four and draw one – it’s a tall order but could still happen – then 37 points could be enough to keep you up.

“If it [relegation] happens you’ve got to come back stronger next year – regroup and come back. But at the moment we’re not down and have got a chance.

“We have win tomorrow and then win at Reading, for sure. Then we’ve got to beat Newcastle and Arsenal and get something at Liverpool. It’s tough, but that’s the dream.”
