Rangers striker Hewitt completes loan move

Bury have signed Troy Hewitt from QPR on a month’s loan after the striker impressed during a trial.

West London Sport revealed last week that Hewitt, 22, was training with the League One club.

He has been unable to make an impact at Loftus Road since arriving from non-League Harrow Borough in February last year.

Hewitt was a target for a host of second and third-tier clubs before the then Rangers boss Neil Warnock arranged a deal to sign him.

He has made only one first-team appearance for the R’s and played seven times for Dagenham & Redbridge during a loan spell last season

The player completed his loan move in time to be available for Bury’s game against Hartlepool on Tuesday evening.
