Rangers boss still hoping to sign Baird
QPR manager Harry Redknapp says he is still hoping to sign Chris Baird.
The Northern Ireland international, 31, is a free agent after leaving Fulham when his contract expired at the end of last season.
He has been training with the R’s for several weeks and has been offered a contract by club chief executive Philip Beard.
Redknapp said: “He’s still training with us. We’re talking with his people. I’d like to bring him here and if it’s possible we’ll do it.
“It’s up to Chris really. He’s been training with us, trained well and we like him.
“Phil’s been speaking to his agent and we’ve made him [Baird] a good offer.”
