QPR defender Rangel returns to action

QPR’s Angel Rangel has returned to action after more than three months.

The veteran defender, who suffered a thigh injury at Leeds in December, played 45 minutes of a friendly against Southampton on Wednesday afternoon.

Geoff Cameron, who recently returned from an ankle injury, also suffered in the game at Leeds, played the full 90 minutes of the game, which Southampton won 3-2.

Pawel Wszolek and Jordan Cousins scored for QPR, whose line-up also included Josh Scowen, while the home side’s scorers included former R’s star Charlie Austin.
