QPR’s Fer faces at least two months out
QPR midfielder Leroy Fer faces at least two months on the sidelines with a knee injury.
The 25-year-old Dutchman was stretchered off in the second half of Tuesday’s 2-0 win at Sunderland, where he scored the opening goal, and a scan has revealed medial ligament damage.
The news is a setback for Rangers in their battle against relegation and comes days after centre-back Richard Dunne suffered a similar injury.
Fer’s header at the Stadium of Light was his fourth goal for QPR since he joined them from Norwich last summer.
