QPR’s Manning scores in Irish Under-21 win

QPR midfielder Ryan Manning scored for the Republic of Ireland’s Under-21 side in a 3-1 win against Iceland on Thursday evening.

Manning scored the second goal for the Irish, who brought on Rangers’ Olamide Shodipo in the second half of the friendly at Shamrock Rovers’ Tallaght Stadium.

Meanwhile, QPR’s Paul Smyth and Chris Paul featured for Northern Ireland’s Under-21s as they lost 5-3 in a European Championship qualifier at home to Spain.

Smyth started the game, while defender Paul came on as a substitute.
