QPR’s Furlong makes loan move

QPR youngster Darnell Furlong has joined Northampton Town on a month’s loan.

The 19-year-old son of former R’s forward Paul Furlong has featured once for the first team this season, in the League Cup defeat at home to Carlisle. [phone][/phone]

He made his debut against Hull City last season and has made a total of four first-team appearances so far.

Furlong is one of a number of young Rangers players the club are keen to send out on loan in order for them to gain experience,
