QPR’s Grego-Cox could make Newport move

Newport County are interested in taking teenage forward Reece Grego-Cox on loan from QPR.

The 19-year-old has made five senior appearances but has not featured for Rangers’ first team since a League Cup tie against Carlisle more than a year ago.

Rangers are therefore keen for him to pick up more first-team experience and have made him available for a loan move.

QPR are also hoping to loan out goalkeeper Joe Lumley, who signed a new contract at Loftus Road this week.

Lumley had been lined up for a move to Gillingham but there are now doubts over whether that deal will go through.

Meanwhile, QPR aim to sign Polish winger Paweł Wszołek from Italian club Hellas Verona ahead of today’s transfer deadline.
