QPR defender turns down pre-deadline move

QPR youngster Rocco Friel has turned down a pre-deadline return to Scotland. 

The 19-year-old right-back was signed from Hearts during the summer of 2024.

He recently returned from a loan spell at Queen’s Park, who were keen to take him back on loan for the rest of the season.

But Friel turned down the move in the final hours of the transfer window and remained at Loftus Road.

Sam Field, meanwhile, completed a loan move to Norwich. The deal does not include an obligation for the Canaries to buy him at the end of the season.
