Borysiuk on course for swift QPR return

QPR: Ariel Borysiuk
QPR midfielder Ariel Borysiuk is on course to return to action sooner than was expected.

West London Sport recently revealed that the summer signing from Legia Warsaw had been sidelined by an ankle injury.

Rangers manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink subsequently confirmed the news and expected him to be unavailable for six weeks.

But Borysiuk, 24, has responded well to treatment and has been given the green light to resume light training on Monday – around a week earlier than was initially anticipated.

“Ariel is a couple of weeks away. The (protective) boot is off and he is due back running on Monday,” Hasselbaink said.

Meanwhile, Hasselbaink is hopeful Rangers will make further signings before this month’s transfer deadline.
