QPR watch Dundee United striker Shankland again

QPR took another look at Dundee United striker Lawrence Shankland on Saturday.

An R’s scout saw the Scotland international, 24, score a hat-trick in a 4-1 win against Partick.

Shankland has scored 24 goals for Scottish Championship leaders United this season.

QPR director of football Les Ferdinand recently watched him in a derby match against Dundee.

Ferdinand and manager Mark Warburton would like to sign a forward on a permanent deal this month to act as back-up for on-loan duo Nahki Wells and Jordan Hugill with a view to being a first-team regular next season.

Shankland is one of several possible options who have been monitored in recent months.
