No approaches for Fer, Ramsey insists

Chris Ramsey says QPR have not received any enquiries about Leroy Fer.

The Netherlands midfielder, signed from Norwich a year ago, has been linked with a number of clubs since Rangers’ relegation from the Premier League.

And reports in the Dutch media have suggested he is wanted by Newcastle boss Steve McClaren.

But while there has been some interest in QPR players Charlie Austin, Matty Phillips and Steven Caulker, the club have not had an approach for Fer.

“We’ve not heard anything,” head coach Ramsey said.

“He’s a good player and there has been speculation, but of the players there has been speculation over he’s been the least asked-about.”
