QPR set to sign youngsters Walker and Rowan

QPR: Loftus Road

QPR are set to sign youngsters Lewis Walker and Charlie Rowan.

Forward Walker and centre-back Rowan have both been on trial with the club. They have been offered one-year deals and will initially play for Rangers’ development side.

Walker, the 19-year-old son of former England international Des Walker, has been looking for a club since leaving Derby County during the summer.

He joined the Rams from non-League side Ilkeston in January 2016 but did not make a first-team appearance during his time at Pride Park and in August his contract was terminated by mutual agreement.

Rowan, 20, left Watford during the summer and has since spent time with Italian club Torino.

He too is yet to make his senior debut, having not made a first-team appearance for the Hornets or during a loan spell at Accrington Stanley.
