QPR v Swansea player ratings

Richard Kone made an emphatic return to form, scoring a hat-trick inside 15 minutes as QPR thrashed Swansea at Loftus Road. Here’s how we rated each Rangers player in the 5-0 win.
Pierce Charles: 7
Produced a fine save to deny Melker Widell just before Rangers’ third goal. Swansea scoring at that point might have changed the course of the game.
Kealey Adamson: 7
Adamson continues to impress. He was solid at right-back and played a key role in the second goal by winning the ball off Widell on the right flank.
Jimmy Dunne: 8
Scored twice and in general was excellent. Organised at the back and always calm on the ball.

Ronnie Edwards: 7
Like Dunne, Edwards looked calm and assured throughout. Made the most of the chances Swansea gave him to come out with the ball.
Boy Kemper: 8
Very good again. He was alert to danger – not least when his outstanding interception denied Joseph Opoku – as well as being tenacious and showing no little quality. He also set up a chance for Kone. But Kemper then picked up another injury – a real shame.
Jonathan Varane: 6
Made a poor start, giving the ball away twice in dangerous areas early on. But he improved after that and sent an effort wide in the second half.
Glen Kamara: 7
Steady alongside Varane – and needed to be during a start in which Rangers scored early goals but at times gave away possession.
Kwame Poku: 8
His best performance since returning to fitness. Served up a fine cross to set up the second goal and in general was hardworking and incisive.
Harvey Vale: 6
Not as involved as Rangers’ other attacking players, but took up some smart positions and served up some quality deliveries.
Paul Smyth: 9
Continued his good form with another excellent, relentless display. Laid the first goal on a plate for Kone – something the striker desperately needed in order to get his season going – and was a constant problem for the Swansea defence.
Richard Kone: 9
Took his goals – a calm finish, a lovely header into the far corner, and a coolly taken penalty – nicely and had chances to score more. His general play at times in the first half still wasn’t up to scratch, but he was back to his best in terms of link-up play and his main task: taking opportunities in the box. A great day for Kone, aided by fine work from his team-mates, who helped dig him out of an early-season slump.
Karamoko Dembele: 6
Made a welcome return after a long-term knee injury, coming on as part of a triple substitution on 72 minutes.
Koki Saito: 6
Not involved much after replacing Vale.
Rayan Kolli: 6
Keen to make an impact after his introduction, but missed a good chance to score.
