QPR submit revised training-ground plan

QPR have confirmed they have submitted a revised planning application for a new training ground at Warren Farm.

West London Sport revealed last July that the club’s owners were having second thoughts about building the facility, and in October that the project was set to go ahead but the training ground would be more modest than initially promised.

This should still enable Rangers’ academy to obtain Category One status.

QPR say the local community will benefit from a new pavilion providing changing facilities and a new multi-purpose social space.

Director of football Les Ferdinand told Rangers’ website he “will have a hands-on role” in overseeing “a vitally important project for the club.”

A decision regarding planning consent is expected this summer.
