Hemed out for up to six more weeks

Tomer Hemed will be out for up to six more weeks.

QPR’s on-loan Brighton striker has had a hernia operation and is expected to be unavailable for at least another month.

Hemed, 31, has not played since Rangers’ home defeat against Hull City on 1 December.

“Tomer has had a little operation – a routine one in terms of a hernia,” said manager Steve McClaren.

“It can take anything from four to six weeks. Hopefully it’ll be nearer four than six.”
