Boss Warburton pleased with QPR point

Mark Warburton praised his players after QPR held Nottingham Forest to a goalless draw at the City Ground.

Promotion-chasing Forest endured a frustrating afternoon as the visitors kept them at bay.

“We had to stand up as a team and I thought we did. We showed real character and I thought going forward we looked dangerous,” said Rangers’ former Forest manager.

“I’m delighted for the players. They showed a lot of character and I thought the point was well deserved.”

Bright Osayi-Samuel got through plenty of defensive work

Rangers had to battle defensively and Warburton was particularly pleased to see Bright Osayi-Samuel play a key role in securing the point.

He said: “Brighty did two tremendous tackles back in his own defensive third. He was really strong and came back and tackled.

“For all his good attacking play, that shows that he’s really learning and really picking up. I’m delighted for him doing that.”
