QPR have given Ryan Manning a new three-year contract – his second new deal in six months.
The Irish midfielder, who in January signed deal until 2019, has had his contract extended by a further year.
“It’s great reassurance for me,” Manning, 20, told QPR’s website.
“Hopefully, in the next three years, we can build something, start finishing at the right end of the table, and then get back to the Premier League.”
Manning, who joined Rangers from Galway United as an 18-year-old, was given his first-team debut following Ian Holloway’s appointment as manager last season.
At that stage Rangers were planning to release the player this summer, when his contract was due to expire.
He impressed and has now made 18 appearances for the R’s, scoring once.
Meanwhile, Holloway has suggested that Ariel Borysiuk could have future at QPR despite failing to impress last season.
