QPR v Oxford United player ratings

QPR are unbeaten in five matches but had to settle for a point after a goalless draw against Oxford United at Loftus Road. Here’s how we rated each Rangers player.

Paul Nardi: 6

Had nothing to do with his hands but did look nervy with the ball at his feet on more than one occasion.

Jimmy Dunne: 6

Became a useful outball for Rangers with so little creativity in midfield and won the majority of his headers, as you’d expect.

Steve Cook: 7

A strong showing on his return to the team. Made a couple of important interventions that could have otherwise seen Oxford given a clear sight of goal.

Amadou Mbengue: 6

Was typically aggressive in his challenges and collected a second-half booking that means he has five for the season and will miss Saturday’s trip to Bristol City.

Rhys Norrington-Davies: 7

Was strong defensively once again and also provided some attacking thrust on a night when it was largely missing across the team.

Harvey Vale: 6

Linked play well with a couple of good passes but never really looked like making the difference with Rangers blunt in attack.

Isaac Hayden: 5

Improved as the game went on but was not able to help progress the ball through midfield.

Hayden was also given a recall (Picture: Rob Avis)

Sam Field: 5

Struggled to give Rangers a platform to get on top of things in the first half. Replace on the hour mark.

Kader Dembele: 5

A couple of bright moments in a drab first half. Was taken off in the second half as QPR went in search of a goal.

Richard Kone: 6

Looked the most likely to make something happen in the first half but faded as the game went on.

It was a frustrating night for QPR forward Kone (Picture: Rob Avis)

Michael Frey: 5

Another who displayed a couple of nice touches on a rare start but does not look as effective a partner for Kone as Rumarn Burrell.

Koki Saito: 6

Was not as involved in his cameo off the bench as he has been in recent starts.

Rumarn Burrell: 6

Provided energy and enthusiasm but nothing quite fell for him to be able to impact the game.

Nicolas Madsen: 7

Made Rangers far more fluent with forward passing from midfield, showing why he’s been a regular starter at the beginning of the season.

Paul Smyth: 6

Produced a couple of dangerous runs down the right but couldn’t find the right final ball.

Absolute Rubbish. Just one shot on target early. Manager has a lot to learn and wont even admit he messed up. To many changes and a 4411 formation, terrible. WE were at home as well! Even most of our so called attackers spent a lot of time half way in our own half. Even Neil Warnock and Jamie Mackie could not understand or believe it. Manager needs to learn and admit his mistakes.
