Ian Holloway has indicated that QPR are ready to end their pursuit of Danny Ward after having a second offer for the forward rejected by Rotherham.
Rangers have had bids of £1.2m and £1.5m turned down and Holloway has suggested the club are looking at other possible signings.
“We’ve done what we needed to do,” said the R’s boss.
“They haven’t given us an idea of the fee they want, so it’s a bit of a stalemate so we’re moving on.”
Ward, 25, has scored 10 goals for Rotherham this season and a number of Championship clubs are showing an interest in signing him.
Rangers have also been in talks with Bristol City over a potential deal to sign Luke Freeman.
The club are hoping City will agree to sell given that the winger’s contract expires in the summer.
“We’ve been targeting players who are out of contract, but unfortunately Danny Ward isn’t,” Holloway said.
QPR are also interested in Manchester United midfielder Sean Goss.

Why is it, that all around us, teams are completing transfer without the problems we seem to encounter?.I appreciate we are no longer the big spenders of yesteryear, however surely we are not to be considered the beggars of the championship, come-on Mr fernandes & co where has all the commitment gone, we have sold 7 millions worth of players in this window and got rid of Sandro's wages so whats the holdup start getting some players in.
