QPR’s Cousins expected to be out for three weeks

Jordan Cousins is expected to be out for three more weeks with a thigh injury he recently suffered in training.

Cousins, 22, has been affected by hamstring trouble since his arrival at QPR from Charlton in the summer.

And Rangers feared a scan would show a major thigh-muscle tear and rule him out for a long period.

However, the scan has shown a grade two tear, which is likely to sideline him for weeks rather than months.

Nevertheless, manager Ian Holloway is keen for Cousins’ injury problems to be investigated.

Holloway said last week: “The other day it was his hamstring and then it was this and then it was that, so is there a misalignment of him somewhere? We’ve got to get to the bottom of that.”

Meanwhile, Holloway has warned Idrissa Sylla after the striker reacted angrily to being substituted against Reading.
