QPR expect Sean Goss to return to training later this week.
The midfielder, who ended last season on loan at Glasgow Rangers, has been nursing a back problem.
Goss has not featured in QPR’s four pre-season friendlies but assistant manager John Eustace believes he will soon be back in action.
Eustace said: “Gossy picked up a slight niggle in his back. But he’s near the end of that and hopefully he’ll be back training with us by the end of the week.”
Meanwhile, an injury Darnell Furlong picked up against AFC Wimbledon on Saturday is not thought to be serious.
