QPR looking at Torquay youngster Chaney

QPR are giving a trial to Torquay United youngster Sam Chaney.

Chaney, 21, can play at right-back or in midfield. He featured for Rangers’ Under-23 side in a match against Colchester on Friday afternoon.

So too did Sinn’kaye Christie, a 19-year-old defender who has been training with the R’s.

Christie, who previously played for Wealdstone and has more recently been with the Nike Academy, started Friday’s match at Rangers’ Harlington training ground, where Chaney came on as a second-half substitute.

Colchester won the game 5-1. QPR’s goal was scored by Reece Grego-Cox.
