QPR looking to offload striker Zamora

QPR have made Bobby Zamora available to other clubs.

A number of Championship sides have been made aware that Rangers would be prepared to offload the 33-year-old striker before Friday’s transfer deadline.

Zamora, whose contract expires in the summer, recently returned following knee surgery but has been hampered by a hip condition for some time.

He has made only 34 league starts since a big-money move from Fulham two years ago.

“If he wanted to move I wouldn’t stand in Bobby’s way,” said Rangers manager Harry Redknapp.

“The same goes for other lads who aren’t playing. You don’t want to keep unhappy lads around.

“He’s a proven player and I’d be happy to keep him. We’ll just see what happens.”
