QPR keeper Ingram returns to Wycombe on short-term loan

QPR goalkeeper Matt Ingram has returned to Wycombe on a seven-day emergency loan.

Wycombe, who are managed by Gareth Ainsworth and sold Ingram to Rangers in 2016, have been given permission to make the signing because keepers Ryan Allsop and Yves Ma-Kalambay are both injured.

Ingram, 24, is set to play for the Chairboys against Sunderland this weekend, when QPR will not be in action because of the international break.

Ingram has been out of the Rangers side since being displaced by Joe Lumley earlier this season.

Former Rangers winger Ainsworth told Wycombe’s website: “Matt was top of our list and, fortunately for us, it’s international weekend which means QPR don’t have a game.

“They have kindly agreed to loan him to us for seven days, giving us extra time to secure a longer-term replacement for Ryan and Yves.

“It’ll be great to have Matt around the place again, even if it’s only for a few days, and we know he’ll be a more than reliable replacement for us on Saturday.”
