QPR duo doubtful for Wednesday game

QPR currently look likely to be without Jordan Hugill and Lee Wallace against Sheffield Wednesday this weekend.

Hugill missed the 1-0 defeat at Wigan because of a hamstring injury he suffered while scoring Rangers’ winner at Middlesbrough on Sunday.

The striker has a chance of returning for Saturday’s game but would have to respond very well to treatment in the meantime in order to be available.

Manager Mark Warburton explained: “It’s going to be tight. Hopefully he might make it. We’ll have to see how he responds in the next couple of days.”

Wallace, meanwhile, has been nursing hamstring injury.

The Scot is expected to return to training on Friday and is unlikely to feature against the Owls.

“He’ll probably train with us, maybe on Friday,” Warburton said.

"It might be too soon for Sheffield Wednesday, but hopefully after that he’ll be available to us.”
