QPR defender Lynch nursing hamstring strain

QPR are hopeful that Joel Lynch will soon shake off a hamstring problem that has troubled him since his move to the club.

Defender Lynch, a summer signing from Huddersfield, nursed the slight injury prior to it forcing him to come off during Rangers’ recent pre-season friendly in the Netherlands against FC Groningen.

He has been unable to train fully since and was not involved in Tuesday’s friendly at Northampton but could be available for Friday’s game at Wycombe.

“Joel has got a little hamstring problem. It should be okay in the coming days,” said R’s boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

Another QPR summer signing, Ariel Borysiuk, faces six weeks on the sidelines with an ankle injury.
