Warburton hopes to make signings – and expects interest in QPR stars

Mark Warburton is keen to add to his squad but says QPR are likely to be restricted to loan deals and free transfers.

The Rangers manager would like to bring in a centre-back, but the club’s options were limited during the previous transfer window and are likely to remain so when it reopens.

“We’ll have to look at what funds are available,” Warburton said.

“More than likely we’ll be looking at free opportunities. Maybe a potential loan – we’ll wait and see.

“You obviously have your target list in various positions and you see what transpires from there.”

And Warburton believes there might well be interest in some of his current squad.

Doubts remain over the future of Bright Osayi-Samuel, while the likes of Ilias Chair have caught the eye.

“We’ll have to see if we can keep our players as well,” Warburton admitted.

“We’ve got one or two young players I’m sure are attracting interest.”
