Joel Lynch is a major doubt for QPR’s game at Nottingham Forest this weekend but fellow centre-backs Alex Baptiste and Grant Hall have returned to training.

Ex-Forest defender Lynch limped off during Saturday’s win over Middlesbrough and could miss the pre-Christmas game against his former club.

Rangers want him to play at the City Ground, where the club have never won, but Lynch has not trained fully this week. He was due to be assessed on Friday afternoon.

Baptiste and Hall could be included in the squad, having resumed training after their respective injuries.

Angel Rangel and on-loan duo Geoff Cameron and Tomer Hemed are out with long-term injuries.

Meanwhile, former R’s defender Jack Robinson says Forest “will blow QPR out of the water” if they perform to their best.
