QPR v Bristol City player ratings

QPR drew 0-0 with Bristol City at Loftus Road and are unbeaten in five matches. Here’s how we rated each Rangers player.

Joe Walsh: 7

Didn’t always look convincing, but did his job, with a number of saves – including one to deny Mark Sykes and another to keep out a tricky, deflected strike.

Amadou Mbengue: 6

Energetic at right-back in a largely dull game, but lacked quality. Harshly – to put it mildly – booked in the second half.

Ronnie Edwards: 7

Captain in the absence of the injured Jimmy Dunne, Edwards looked the part. Calm at centre-back and produced a vital block in stoppage time.

Jake Clarke-Salter: 6

Clarke-Salter completing the full 90+ minutes, and producing a steady display, was a welcome sight for Rangers.

Rhys Norrington-Davies: 6

A gritty display but less productive than many of his other outings for the R’s.

Harvey Vale: 6

Quiet. An off-day compared to some of his other recent performances, but he was still involved in some nice link-up play.

Jonathan Varane: 6

Effective, especially in the first half, and his past two performances have highlighted that his sharpness has returned following a recent injury. He was impressive in the first half, with a couple of early surges forward and positive passes in addition to his usual combative work.

Kieran Morgan: 6

Did well in the first half, showing good movement and his nice range of passing. Faded somewhat before going off in the second half.

Paul Smyth: 6

Lively in spells but there was a lack of end product

Rayan Kolli: 6

Struggled to make an impact up front but worked hard, linked play nicely at times and created a chance for Smyth with a second-half cross.

Richard Kone: 6

Also worked hard up front – as always – but had few sights of goal and, when a decent chance came his way, headed straight at keeper Radek Vitek.

Rumarn Burrell: 6

A welcome return to action.

Daniel Bennie: 6

Got stuck in, but Bristol City defended well and got the point they came for.
